Top 5 Reasons to Submit a Make a Difference Day Project

#5–You don’Make a Differencet have to do it alone. We think our 125 partner agencies are the best, so you will be in good company. Also, if you need some help coming up with a project idea….we can help! If you are concerned about managing all of the volunteers on the day of, you can request a trained volunteer leader to help direct and inspire volunteers.

#4--You can inspire youth to become lifelong volunteers. We are partnering with local schools to engage even more youth and families. Youth who volunteer are more likely to volunteer when they grow up, more likely to graduate high school and vote, and less likely to abuse alcohol and other drugs.

#3–Volunteers are donors. Volunteers give 10 times more than non-volunteers, according to 2009 study and many give both time and money the same organzation.

#2–You could win! If you submit your project by the deadline, you will be entered for a chance to win a box of Rocket Donuts. We smell them all day long, and trust us…this is a great reason.

#1–You might just meet your “dream” volunteer. Days of service are often referred to as “service activation days” or “attractor events” because it is an opportunity to introduce volunteers to your organization….in hopes that they will become an ongoing supporter.
