Make A Difference Day
Make A Difference Day is an all-encompassing national day of service dedicated to helping others — a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Originally created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is sponsored locally by Whatcom Volunteer Center.

More than 800 volunteers came together on October 24, 2009 for Make A Difference Day 2009. Projects included environmental restoration, painting, light construction, working with youth and seniors, sorting clothing for the homeless, as well as many other helpful opportunities. It was an amazing day in which people of varied backgrounds unified for a common cause to create visible, impactful change in Whatcom County. Thanks to all who helped out!
Make A Difference Day 2010 will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
