How to Help Haiti
As we are all too aware, on Tuesday Haiti experienced an earthquake that caused devastation beyond what words and photos can convey. There is tremendous loss of life, catastrophic damage to most buildings affecting a third of the population, and dire need for food, water and medical care. I hear complaints that the holiday season has been commercialized and transformed into an obligation to give meaningless gifts to strangers and family members that only hear from you once a year.

A Win-Win Situation

In order to participate, I signed up online (1-800-volunteer.org) for one of the few stations that still had volunteer openings, the Northwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
