What’s All the Buzz About!?

The WVC offices have been abuzz with activity for the past few weeks–Project Homeless Connect is this Thursday; we’re getting the word out about the free CPR/First aid Training on March 20, our Theatre Guild fundraiser happening April 8, the Heart and Hands volunteer awards event coming up the last Sunday in April and the Human Race kickoff on April 20-22. Second annual Project Homeless Connect works to end homelessness in Whatcom County

Bellingham, Wash – On March 4, 2010, more than 600 people in Whatcom County will receive free, confidential services, including dental care, medical exams, vision screening, women’s health care, information on veteran benefits, housing assistance, and much more. Project Homeless Connect will be held in downtown Bellingham, at the Depot Market Square, The Majestic, Central Lutheran Church, Whatcom County Annex, YWCA and Red Cedar Dharma Hall. Volunteering: Beneficial to the Volunteer too?

I participated on October 24, 2009 in the national Make A Difference Day. I chose to volunteer my time with the Arthritis Foundation. This year, we folded 3,700 Jingle Bell Run t-shirts. Jingle Bell Run is an annual Bellingham event that supports research and funding for the Arthritis Foundation.
